Alex Ameter served in Korea and Afghanistan in 2014

Alex Ameter is a former Army Captain with a passion for human rights, diplomacy, progressive domestic policy, and the political process. After Officer Candidate School, he spent two years in Korea, where he served as Executive Officer to more than 200 soldiers while developing and implementing an 80-page program on the principles of cultural diplomacy and literacy. Having personally instructed more than 10,000 soldiers, he was selected to run a number of Cultural Liaison programs between US and Korean personnel and civilians, coordinating with Korean government and civilian organizations. In 2014, he was deployed to Afghanistan to serve as the logistics adviser on a Special Operations Advisory Team to set up and improve our partner unit's logistics systems, liaising with officials at the Afghan Ministry of Defense, NATO officials, and US government representatives.  (PTA)
