Tour Bosnia and Herzegovina

This is an opportunity to learn more about the fascinating country of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Meet our host partner Rotarians, visit the Global Grant project, and talk to grant beneficiaries in rural Stolac.
Note: Tour is limited to 10 people. Registration deadline for Ojai Rotarians is April 10. After that, Rotarians from clubs who have contributed to the grant are invited to register.
Cost of tour includes: All breakfasts and 11 meals (2 meals in Sarajevo, 1 meal in Konjic, 2 meals in Mostar, and all meals in Stolac), all local guides and entrance tickets, mini-bus transportation from Sarajevo to Stolac, and from Stolac to Dubrovnik after the tour.

A $200 registration fee, which will be applied to the cost of the tour, will secure your reservation.
Tour Schedule: Monday, October 10, 2016 – Sunday, October 17, 2016
Day 1 - Monday, October 10
Welcome to Sarajevo
Be at hotel by 4:00 pm; Free time to settle in till 7:00 p.m.
7:30 pm - Dinner at local restaurant; rest of the evening is free
Sleep in Sarajevo 2 nights
Day 2 - Tuesday, October 11
Breakfast till 10:00 am
10:30 am - Sarajevo city walk - guided tour with local guide
2:00 pm - Lunch in local restaurant
Free afternoon and evening for your own exploration of city
Day 3 – Wednesday, October 12
Depart hotel after breakfast at 10:00 am
Jump into our mini bus and onto Tunnel of Salvation in Sarajevo
11:00 am - Drive to Konjic (Bus 1hr)
12:00 pm - Konjic tour followed by lunch in local restaurant
After lunch we will visit Tito's bunker
3:00 pm - Leave Konjic and on to Mostar
4:30 pm - Arrive in Hotel in Mostar
7:30 pm - Dinner in local restaurant. Rest of the evening is free.
Sleep in Mostar 2 nights.
Day 4 – Thursday, October 13
Breakfast till 10:00 am
Mostar walking tour with local guide (Sanel)
1:00 pm - Lunch on your own. Afternoon is your choice:
- Explore Mostar on your own, or
- Meet with cooperating organization for an update and analysis of grant project.
6:00 pm - Meet Mostar Rotary Club members at hotel and over dinner in local restaurant
Day 5 – Friday, October 14
Breakfast till 10:00 am. Board mini- bus and leave Mostar.
Explore Herzegovina (Blagaj, Počitelj, Mogorjelo, Kravice and ethno village)
Tour farms and talk with farmers participating in our grant, with lunch on the farm.
6:00 pm - Arrive in Stolac; settle in at hostel Vodopad (2 nights), run by Association Orhideja Stolac.
Dinner at hostel.
Day 6 – Saturday, October 15
9:30 - Stolac walking tour
Rest of morning and afternoon will be spent with staff and participants, plus a seminar led by Agricultural Faculty
2:00 pm - Lunch in local restaurant.
7:30 pm - Farewell dinner in hostel Vodopad
Day 7 - Sunday, October 16
Departure after breakfast. Transportation will be arranged to Dubrovnik (not included in price of tour).
