There is almost nothing Rotarians love more than new members. Well, come to think of it - we also love giving out scholarships, and planting trees, and a good party… but we also just love new members. So we are delighted to welcome Dana White and Polly Hawkins.
Dana White grew up in Ojai, left to study Landscape Architecture at UC Berkeley, and eventually found her way back - which, of course she did. She built a career designing the kinds of landscapes where people actually live, and raised a daughter who shares her love of horses and the outdoors.
Polly Hawkins is an architect who built a career and a life in Chicago, where volunteering was as much a part of daily life as her practice. Along the way she also got involved in historic preservation, taught hands-on science in local schools, learned bookkeeping, and figured out how to garden in Montana. We are not surprised she found Rotary.
